What's going on???

This is probably going to be the most boring blog yet...no pictures...!!

I thought I would post what has been going on in the Rogers Household. SOCCER!! I feel we have been eating, breatheing and living soccer!!! We have a new coach this year!!! And to quote Chloe, " He is awesome." Last year we won the first game in 3 years....this year The Homeschool Hornets are 3-1-1!!! I am so excited for the kids!!!

Also we have started Lads to Leaders, it seems the kids are doing all of the activities!! Recenetly, the kids have done Know the Books, Good Samaritan, Bible Bowl, Scrapbooking, Mass Media (editorials), Speech, Pearls...I will post another blog just on L2L activites.

And....my mom and I went to Amish Country last weekend, just her and I. We stayed the night and shopped all the next day!! It was soooo much fun. My moms first trip there!! She deserved it! She does so much for everyone else.!!

Menu Planning Monday

Okay it has been awhile since I have done this. I had started freezer cooking..only problem with that is I need day to plan for another month and my freezer is empty and I dont have a day right now. So back to cooking everyday...

This week was easy because Kenny planned it for me!! He never gives a request of what he wants for dinner. He always says, "...Whatever you fix is fine with me." But he has been on this weight loss contest at work and it ends today!!! YAY!! If he wins..we win $100 giftcards to the Outback!!

Monday- Lunch:Potatoe Soup
Supper: Cheesey Spinach Pasta
Tuesday- BIG breakfast
Wednesday-Hamburgers and Broccolli with Cheese
Thursday-White sauce Chicken Lasagna
Friday- Pizza
Saturday- Spaghetti Squash

Thanksgiving Thursday

Busy Busy....wish I could just push a button and be rested. Sleeping takes too much time. I feel like my feet literally hit the floor in morning...in a full speed run. But I am loving it..

1. I am thankful for me and my hubby taking the time to go on a date tonight.:)
2. I am thankful for Wednesday night Bible study....Ezra, Nehamiah and Esther..have been much more interesting than I expected.
3. I am thankful I blogged 5 times today!!!!
4. I am thankful for high speed internet on my phone!!!!!
5. I am thankful for ebay....finding the odd and ends.
6. I am thankful for the short visit I was able to squeeze in on Saturday to visit my parents and grandparents.
7. I am thankful for cooler weather!!!!!
8. I am thankful for great friends.
9. I am thankful for our outlet mall's awesome clearance!! Cant bea 1.99 specials!!!
10. I am thankful for Starbucks!!!

First Game of the Season....:)

This is my favorite season ..Fall..Autumn. Whatever you choose to call it....it just so happens to coincide with my favorite sport to watch, my kids Soccer games!!! I am in my element as a soccer mom on the sidelines!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

This is our second year of playing on the Homeschool Hornets, but the kids love it!! Chloe and Blake play on the middle school team 6th-8th graders, they have allowed Blake to play this year with the understanding he may not get as much playing team as the 8th graders. Well, he played almost the whole game last week!!!

And we won!!!!! 6-2....!!!!!YAY HORNETS!!!

Blake turns 10!!!!!!!

My little boy turned 10 on Sept 11th!!! I just cant believe the great son that I have!! He is just a blessing to us. Blake's actual birthday was an extremely BUSY day to say the least ( first day of co-op, his birthday party, soccer game, Lads to Leaders scrapbooking....which we missed because we were wiped out!!

Idlewild~~SoakZone~~~Storybook Forrest

Our family headed to Idlewild/SoakZone/StoryBook Forest Labor Day weekend....the Saturday before Labor Day is known as "Church of Christ" day. So a bunch of us take advantage of the discount and head that way every year. This is our 4th year to go!! We all take crockpots of food and set up in a pavillion, so we eat for free all day!!!

Thanksgiving Thursday

Well I havent posted in awhile so I thought I would do a Thanksgiving Thursday blog. We have been super busy since school starting, but as of right now we are done in April if we keep up this pace. I am very thankful for this time in my life, I am doing exactly what I have been wanting to do since I was a little girl.
Here is a top ten:

I am thankful for: (in no particular order)
1. My husband...especially this evening!! He is helping create an AWESOME powerpoint presentation for my Medieval Times co-op class.
2. Co-op...it starts in the morning. I am teaching 6th-8th and 4th-5th grades Medieval Times. I am very nervous but I am feeling confident.
3. Kids...they are just the best!!! They give me so much joy!!
4. For my mom who came up to help me...with co-op preps, Blakes birthday party tomorrow, kids first soccer game of the season and helping get my house cleaned for all my company!!!
5. Soccer- I am just ecstatic for Chloe and Blake's 1st soccer game tomorrow !!!! Yes on his birthday!!!
6. God- because he is such an AWESOME God
7. G-2 Pilot Pens in every color....that my hubby got for me.
8. My nails..because they are really long right now!!!! I dont know why...but they decided to grow for me!!
9. Starbucks...have I mentioned how much I love Mocha Frappuchino Lite's
10. Homeschooling...LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!

Ocean City, Maryland!!! Awesome time!!

Kenny and I have been thinking all summer we needed to take a REAL family vacation!! We usually just spend our off time visiting family. And they dont live in vacation spots!!!LOL!! But if my sister in law would EVER move to back to the states....she will live in a vacation spot!!! No pressure..I just know her well.:)

Anyway so we polled all our family and friends and went with the majority vote of Ocean City, Maryland!!! It was alot of fun. Although the rip tides were very strong from Hurricane Danny but for my wild kids that just made the beach more fun!!

Although they did close the beach on Saturday night...

Pool Fun at the Bairen's

Our great friends the Bairen's got an awesome new pool this summer!! We were dieing to go over and visit, but I couldnt just up and invite ourselves. My friend Tammie and her husband kept posting the progress they were making on the pool and how great it felt and whoever wanted could come on over!!!

Well I kept biding my time...and sure enough, she called andinvited us!! I almost forgot to take some pics but I threw my underwater camera to the kids and they took care of it for me.:)
