Rush, Rush, Wait, Wait, Wait..all worth it in the end!

That is the adoption game I am playing right now...I rush to finish and overnight paperwork and wait for a response. Then I get the response, to only find out that I missed turning in my kids medical reports!!

I thrive on paperwork, I find myself insulted that I missed this.

Please pray that I can find a doctor to see my 4 beautiful kiddos and sign a paper saying they are as healthy as I know they are!

We did recieve a fabulous update on our little girl today:

She can count to 5!! yes she is only 2 years old!!

She enjoys inviting her foster family to the table and asking if anyone would like coffee.

    She loves strawberries.

She likes her foster mother to peel her orange.

She is almost completely caught up developmentally.

She loves to laugh, dance and sing. Wow I love my little girl!:)

AND THE BeST NEWS IS THAT WE WILL BE GETTING A VIDEO TOMORROW!! OH YES....THANK YOU LORD!!! OUR GOD IS SO AWESOME!

Also I have a personal goal to encourage 10 people to adopt, so far I have 3 friends that are considering it and 1 who just started her homestudy!! If you are considering adoption, I would love to chat with you!:):)

I want to create my own Hydoponic Garden....

    Deep Water Culture (DWC)
The deep water culture method, also known as the reservoir method, is one of the easiest of all the true hydroponics growing systems. A container holds about two inches of nutrient solution. Several plant containers sit down in the nutrient solution. An aquarium air pump constantly bubbles in the nutrient solution, keeping the plants roots from drowning.
Often, small holes are made around the bottom 2 inches of the plant pots, allowing the roots to grow out into the nutrient solution. As in the example above, an effort is usually made to keep light from getting to the nutrient solution.
Wherever there is light and nutrients, algae will grow. Algae eat the nutrients you are trying to feed to your plants, and when pieces of algae die they attract fungus gnats. Fungus gnats lead to many other problems.
Because of its simple design and simple function, the reservoir method is a good choice for
homemade hydroponics. Since there are no drip or spray emitters to clog, it is also a good choice for organic hydroponics growing systems.
This system is well suited for volcanic lava chips media, or else a mixture of one part vermiculite to 5 parts expanded clay pellets. As with any hydroponics growing system, you will want to brush up on your hydroponics feeding tips before beginning.

    Soap Box....

Okay its my blog/soapbox..so if you dont like what I write...I guess you dont read it, right?

    Here it is...

I think every family should adopt. I do.
Money isnt a problem...its an excuse.
Time isnt an issue..its an excuse.
Too old isnt an issue....its an excuse.

If you may be using one of these excuses... I wish you would reconsider.

My heart right now is being pulled towards to Korea.

Right now I know of three 13 year old kids..2 girls and 1 boy in China. They will age out of the orphanage this year. Guess will they go...the streets. They already have an X on them because of being orphans in an Asian country, they probably have a minor disability so there is another X. Would Jesus turn his back on them?

In Korea, there are many little ones on the Waiting Child list that are in foster homes. But guess how long good foster homes last in Korea...about 3-4 years. At that age..not only do they lose a loving family, they go to an institution. Yes, an orphanage for the rest of their lives!!!!! Think of the difference you could make on just one little orphan in this world.

I am so tired of hearing people complain about not having kids or sad because they can only have 1 or 2 kids. THERE could be a reason. Your child could have been born already and be waiting for you anywhere..here in the US, China, Korea, India, Africa...anywhere....pray about it.

You may think you dont have time, or the interest, or your desire isnt there.

BUT do you think Jesus had the time or the interest or the desire to bear a cross on his back....and then to be nailed to it for our sins. To where a crown of thorns..to sweat blood..for a bunch of ungrateful people.
NO!! BUT Jesus did...it wasnt convenienet or what he was hoping to do that day.

Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, to let the little children come to him. Are you saying that?
Jesus said in John 14:18, I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you. Are you coming?

Okay stepping down off my blogbox....:)

    Who said this?

In addition to civic knowledge, self-restraint, and self-assertion, citizens must possess the civic virtue of self-reliance. In order to be truly free, citizens must be able to provide the basic necessities of life for themselves and their families. Citizens who cannot provide for themselves will need a large government to take care of them. And as soon as citizens become dependent on government for their basic needs, the people are no longer in a position to demand that government stay limited within the confines of the Constitution. Self-reliant citizens are free citizens in the sense that they are not dependent on others for their basic needs. They do not need a large provider-government, which has the potential to become an intrusive or oppressive government, to meet those needs.”
~ George Washington on Civic Virtue

    Amazing...still true today!
