It's COLD!!!!!!

First, let me say. It is cold!! We have been in the house most of the week. But we are having lots of fun!! I like to be snowed in or in this case "colded" in. We do have about 4-5 inches of snow. But the roads are clear. So we have made the best of our week AT HOME!!

Our house can be drafty at -9.4 degrees..so we have a couple of space heaters around..the dogs are really smart.:):)
This is the coldest we have seen..this was at 7:03 am.ALmost everything has been cancelled this week. Chloe did have youth group Tuesday night...but Wednesday night bible study was cancelled, Friday night- game night was cancelled and tonights Lads to Leaders spaghetti dinner was cancelled. The windchill is supposed to be -20 until noon. Tomorrow is supposed to be 32 degrees!! I cant wait to feel the heat wave!!

So we have stayed home..the kids and I love to watch the Food Network. We love Paula Deen, Rachel Ray, Barefoot Contessa..the list goes on. So Camye and I decided to try out some goodies. Recipes are at the end. The top right is our Vanishing Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies, then our Buttermilk Biscuits and our first attempt at Blueberry Scones (which Camye did the whole thing and they were AWESOME) Great job Camye!! We watched a show on how to make scones and Camye kept saying Now Mommy the key to a perfect scone is not mix it much, which is what they kept saying on the show.

YUMMY! Sounds like you all had a full day! I LOVE scones - haven't tried blueberry yet - cranberry, yes, just not blueberry.
